Responsibilities
- Assist members with inquiries regarding pension calculations, vesting periods, and benefit eligibility.
- Process new retirement applications and updates to member records with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and review correspondence, ensuring all communications are professional and clear.
- Collaborate with the actuarial and compliance teams to maintain up-to-date pension plan data.
- Perform data entry and administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the retirement division.
- Conduct research on state statutes and retirement plan regulations to answer member questions.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in data processing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Basic understanding of government regulations and public sector operations is a plus.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost integrity.
