Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research on urban policy issues
- Analyze zoning laws, demographic data, and environmental impact statements Prepare clear technical reports and policy recommendationsCollaborate with community boards and public stakeholdersSupport legislative drafting and public hearing preparationAssist in grant application writing and compliance trackingMaintain GIS mapping databases and spatial analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field Strong analytical skills with attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Excellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentBasic knowledge of NYC municipal processes preferredValid New York State driver's license may be required
