Responsibilities
- Receive and direct incoming calls and visitors to appropriate departments with professionalism and courtesy.
- Process and maintain accurate records, files, and documents in accordance with state regulations and privacy laws.
- Perform data entry tasks using state database systems to update citizen information and case files.
- Assist the public with inquiries regarding services, forms, and procedures; provide clear and concise instructions.
- Prepare and assemble reports, memos, and correspondence as required by supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure office operations run efficiently and deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred but not mandatory for entry-level roles.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing speed of at least 35 WPM.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with the public and staff.
- Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
- Valid North Carolina driver's license is a plus.
