Responsibilities
- Assist in the calculation and processing of pension benefits for retiring state employees.
- Respond to member inquiries regarding pension eligibility and contribution history.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the state pension database.
- Support the preparation of monthly and annual pension reports for the State Board of Finance.
- Conduct research on state and federal regulations regarding retirement plans.
- Collaborate with HR departments to ensure accurate data entry for new hires.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with sensitive financial data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with the public.
- Knowledge of government operations or the public sector is a plus but not required.
- A valid driver’s license is not required for this role.
