Responsibilities
- Analyze federal employee pension eligibility and calculate monthly annuities based on FERS and CSRS rules.
- Provide detailed, empathetic, and accurate responses to inquiries regarding federal retirement benefits.
- Review and process pension applications and adjustment requests with strict adherence to federal compliance standards.
- Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to maintain accurate employee records and pension data.
- Stay updated on changes in federal legislation affecting retirement plans and communicate these changes to staff.
- Conduct internal training sessions on pension plan features and enrollment processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pension administration, federal HR, or actuarial sciences.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Knowledge of FERS (Federal Employees Retirement System) and CSRS (Civil Service Retirement System) regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting strict deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
