Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive environmental compliance inspections at industrial facilities and municipal sites
- Develop and implement stormwater pollution prevention programs for coastal developments
- Analyze environmental data to ensure adherence to Clean Water Act and Clean Air Act standards
- Prepare detailed technical reports and enforcement documentation for regulatory actions
- Coordinate with state and local agencies on environmental protection initiatives
- Provide guidance to businesses on federal environmental compliance requirements
- Lead community outreach programs on environmental stewardship
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in environmental regulatory compliance
- Strong knowledge of federal environmental regulations (EPA, RCRA, CWA)
- Certified Environmental Compliance Manager (CECM) preferred
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and environmental data analysis software
- Valid California driver's license for field inspections
- Ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Demonstrated experience in report writing and regulatory documentation
