Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal/state environmental regulations (EPA, DEQ)
- Conduct compliance audits of city facilities and construction sites
- Develop and implement environmental management programs
- Prepare regulatory reports and documentation
- Coordinate with agencies on permitting and enforcement matters
- Train staff on environmental policies and procedures
- Manage hazardous materials and waste disposal protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 3+ years regulatory compliance experience
- EPA/DEQ certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations
- Experience with environmental data management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Virginia driver's license
