Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for federal land management projects
- Ensure compliance with NEPA, ESA, and California environmental regulations
- Coordinate with state agencies on environmental mitigation strategies
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for congressional oversight
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with tribal communities
- Develop environmental training programs for federal employees
- Analyze ecological data using GIS and statistical modeling tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in environmental compliance or natural resource management
- Knowledge of federal environmental regulations (NEPA, CERCLA, ESA)
- Professional certification in Environmental Compliance (e.g., CEP)
- Advanced proficiency in GIS software and data analysis tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Experience with California-specific environmental regulations (e.g., CEQA)
- Strong written communication skills for technical reporting
