Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with federal/state environmental regulations (EPA, CalEPA)
- Conduct site inspections and investigations for industrial facilities and construction projects
- Prepare detailed compliance reports and corrective action plans
- Collaborate with local agencies on stormwater management programs
- Train businesses and municipal staff on environmental best practices
- Manage hazardous materials documentation and disposal processes
- Respond to environmental complaints and coordinate remediation efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years regulatory compliance experience in government/private sector
- Strong knowledge of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and federal regulations
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in GIS mapping and environmental data analysis
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
