Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental site assessments and pollution source investigations
- Develop and implement watershed protection plans for county-managed properties
- Oversee compliance with EPA, ODEQ, and local environmental regulations
- Analyze environmental data using GIS and statistical modeling tools
- Prepare technical reports for regulatory agencies and county commissioners
- Coordinate public outreach programs on environmental best practices
- Lead hazardous waste management protocols for county facilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
- 3+ years of environmental assessment or regulatory compliance experience
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license with clean record
- Certification in Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER) preferred
- Proficiency in ArcGIS and environmental data analysis software
- Strong written communication skills for technical reports
- Experience with NEPA documentation and permitting processes
