Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections of wetlands, waterways, and coastal zones
- Analyze environmental compliance data and prepare regulatory reports
- Collaborate with state agencies on pollution prevention programs
- Develop community outreach materials for environmental education
- Manage permit applications for coastal development projects
- Respond to environmental complaints and conduct site assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
- 2+ years experience in environmental regulatory compliance
- Valid Virginia driver's license
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
- Proficiency with GIS mapping software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of EPA and VDEQ regulations
