Responsibilities
- Analyze environmental regulations and policy impacts across state/local jurisdictions
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for air/water quality improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with tribal governments, NGOs, and federal agencies on compliance matters
- Prepare comprehensive reports for legislative hearings and public comment periods
- Lead community outreach programs to engage diverse stakeholders in policy development
- Monitor emerging environmental technologies and best practices nationwide
- Support grant applications for federal environmental funding programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in government environmental policy analysis
- Deep knowledge of Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) Chapter 468
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and environmental data visualization tools
- Exceptional written/verbal communication with public audiences
- Valid Oregon driver's license for field site visits
- US citizenship or permanent residency (funding requirement)
- Experience with NEPA and state-level environmental review processes
