Responsibilities
- Research and analyze urban policy trends, demographic shifts, and economic indicators affecting Philadelphia communities
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations addressing housing affordability, workforce development, and public health initiatives
- Collaborate with state legislators, municipal agencies, and community stakeholders to implement policy solutions
- Prepare detailed legislative briefs, funding proposals, and impact assessments for executive leadership review
- Manage multi-year policy implementation projects with budgets exceeding $2M
- Monitor federal and state legislative changes to assess implications for Philadelphia residents
- Present findings to public officials through formal reports and public hearings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government policy analysis or public sector consulting
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislative language and policy frameworks
- Deep understanding of Pennsylvania's administrative code and budget processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license (required for interagency travel)
