Job Summary
The Environmental Program Specialist II will be responsible for monitoring environmental compliance, conducting field investigations, and enforcing state regulations. You will serve as a technical resource for the community and ensure sustainable management of California's natural heritage.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections and investigations of environmental compliance issues.
- Analyze permit applications and environmental impact reports for CDFW projects.
- Enforce state regulations regarding fish and wildlife resources.
- Prepare detailed written reports and recommendations for enforcement actions.
- Respond to public inquiries and provide technical assistance to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with local, regional, and federal agencies on environmental initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Two (2) years of professional experience in environmental compliance, natural resources management, or a related field.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License is required.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and GIS software is highly desirable.
