Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental compliance inspections and investigations
- Analyze water quality data and prepare regulatory reports
- Manage permit applications for industrial facilities
- Coordinate with federal agencies (EPA, NOAA) on environmental initiatives
- Develop pollution prevention plans for local businesses
- Train staff on environmental regulations and procedures
- Respond to environmental emergencies and citizen complaints
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 3+ years of environmental compliance experience
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Knowledge of Florida's Water Pollution Control Act
- Proficiency in GIS mapping software
- Federal EPA certifications preferred
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to work in field conditions (heat, humidity)
