Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive environmental compliance inspections for industrial and commercial facilities
- Analyze water quality samples and prepare detailed technical reports for regulatory compliance
- Develop and implement pollution prevention strategies for local businesses
- Coordinate with state agencies on environmental hazard response and remediation projects
- Provide technical guidance to local governments on environmental best practices
- Train stakeholders on environmental regulations and permit requirements
- Monitor air quality data and recommend regulatory adjustments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of environmental compliance experience
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean record
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and environmental data analysis software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in field conditions and lift 25 lbs
- Familiarity with EPA and NMED regulatory frameworks
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
