Responsibilities
- Oversee environmental compliance inspections and enforcement actions for industrial facilities
- Develop and implement pollution prevention strategies for Houston's industrial corridor
- Analyze environmental data to identify emerging risks and recommend mitigation measures
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies on environmental policy initiatives
- Prepare detailed technical reports and regulatory guidance documents
- Mentor junior staff and provide expert testimony at public hearings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in environmental compliance or regulatory enforcement
- Texas Environmental Specialist certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in environmental data analysis software and GIS systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal/state environmental regulations (TCEP, RCRA, CAA)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical audiences
- Valid Texas driver's license and willingness to travel to field sites
