Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental compliance audits for county facilities and local businesses
- Develop and manage stormwater pollution prevention programs
- Lead community outreach initiatives on sustainability practices
- Analyze environmental data to inform policy recommendations
- Coordinate hazardous waste disposal and recycling programs
- Prepare regulatory reports for state and federal agencies
- Train county staff on environmental best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of environmental compliance experience
- Valid Florida DEP certification in environmental regulations
- Proficiency with GIS mapping and environmental software
- Strong written communication skills for technical reporting
- Experience leading community education programs
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Knowledge of local watershed systems
