Responsibilities
- Develop and implement environmental compliance programs for military facilities
- Conduct site assessments and pollution prevention audits
- Manage hazardous materials and waste disposal protocols
- Prepare environmental impact analyses and regulatory reports
- Coordinate with EPA, state agencies, and installation commanders
- Train personnel on environmental safety regulations
- Oversee remediation projects for contaminated sites
- Stay current on evolving environmental legislation and policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of environmental compliance experience
- Federal agency or DoD environmental program familiarity
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of EPA, RCRA, and CERCLA regulations
- Proficient in environmental data management software
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Exceptional written communication and report-writing skills
