Job Overview:
The Administrative Officer is responsible for the management of the office's administrative, logistical, and human resources functions. This includes budget oversight, facilities management, and the supervision of support staff. The ideal candidate possesses a strong command of federal procurement and personnel regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Federal Office, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to agency policies.
- Prepare and administer the office budget, including monitoring expenditures and generating financial reports.
- Coordinate interagency communications and organize high-level meetings, conferences, and special events.
- Supervise a team of administrative support staff, conducting performance evaluations and providing mentorship.
- Manage procurement processes, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and compliance monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with all federal laws, regulations, and executive orders regarding record-keeping and information security.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and visitors, representing the agency with professionalism.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is required; Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional administrative experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead capacity.
- Experience with federal budget preparation and financial management is mandatory.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess the ability to obtain a favorable security clearance.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and federal case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft complex correspondence.
- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and human resources policies is highly desirable.
