Responsibilities
- Manage veteran benefit documentation and eligibility verification processes
- Coordinate with federal agencies and community partners to ensure service delivery
- Maintain accurate records using federal compliance systems (e.g., VBA, VA VISTA)
- Process weekly payroll adjustments and timekeeping for 15+ personnel
- Support public inquiries regarding veteran benefits via phone and in-person
- Prepare weekly reports for senior leadership on operational metrics
- Ensure adherence to federal regulations (FAR, VA directives) and privacy laws
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years federal administrative experience
- Proficiency with federal HR systems (e.g., NSPS, VA HR Direct)
- US citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
- Strong knowledge of VA benefits programs and regulations
- Experience with weekly payroll processing and timekeeping
- Excellent written communication for federal documentation
- Ability to handle sensitive veteran information with confidentiality
- Associate's degree in Public Administration or related field
