Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain confidential veteran records and correspondence using federal compliance protocols
- Coordinate office operations including scheduling, procurement, and facility management
- Process complex claims documentation and verify eligibility requirements per VA guidelines
- Prepare official reports and statistical data for senior leadership review
- Provide administrative support to veteran outreach programs and community initiatives
- Ensure all documentation meets federal regulatory standards (FISMA, HIPAA)
- Train junior staff on administrative procedures and software systems
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of administrative experience in federal/government setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and federal databases
- Knowledge of federal record-keeping regulations and privacy laws
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Experience with veteran service organizations or VA systems preferred
- US citizenship required
