Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate administrative functions for federal operations
- Maintain confidential records and documentation in compliance with federal regulations
- Process personnel actions and benefits paperwork using federal systems (e.g., HRIS)
- Provide frontline support to veterans and their families via phone and in-person inquiries
- Assist with budget tracking, procurement requests, and expense reporting
- Prepare official correspondence, reports, and briefings for leadership review
- Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and logistical support for department staff
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (mandatory for federal employment)
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in government or regulated environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with federal personnel systems (e.g., eOPF, HRIS)
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
