Responsibilities
- Process and prioritize veteran benefit applications with 48-hour turnaround
- Manage confidential case files and maintain digital/physical documentation systems
- Coordinate interdepartmental communications for veteran service programs
- Support outreach initiatives for underserved veteran communities
- Prepare compliance reports for federal audit requirements
- Assist in onboarding new veteran service staff
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and VA privacy regulations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and active security clearance (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years federal administrative experience
- Proficiency in VA-specific systems (VBA, VBMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Knowledge of veteran benefits programs (GI Bill, VA Healthcare)
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekends
