Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate federal benefit applications and claims with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Respond to inquiries from the public and internal stakeholders regarding tax credits and federal assistance programs.
- Ensure strict adherence to all federal regulations, agency policies, and procedural guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in digital filing systems during weekend operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex discrepancies in benefits data.
- Provide exceptional customer service to visitors and callers during peak weekend hours.
- Conduct data entry tasks and generate required reports for the management team.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for most federal positions.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a background investigation, fingerprinting, and security clearance.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and government databases.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex policies simply.
- Schedule Availability: Must be available to work weekends, specifically Saturday and Sunday, on a regular basis.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent; an Associate's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
