Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' disability claims with 99.5% accuracy
- Utilize VA systems (VBMS, VBA) to document case details and maintain audit trails
- Communicate with veterans, attorneys, and medical providers to gather supporting documentation
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations (38 CFR) and VA policy updates
- Meet weekly productivity targets while maintaining quality standards
- Participate in ongoing training on new procedures and technologies
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the regional office
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (mandatory for federal employment)
- Minimum 2 years experience in claims processing or healthcare administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software
- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated analytical abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Preferred: VA claims processing experience or federal background
- Must pass federal background check and credit verification
