Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' compensation claims with 95% accuracy
- Review medical documentation and service records for compliance with federal regulations
- Utilize VBMS and Veterans Service Center systems for case management
- Communicate with veterans, attorneys, and medical providers regarding claim status
- Maintain detailed case documentation in accordance with 38 CFR standards
- Collaborate with senior examiners to resolve complex benefit determinations
- Adhere to strict privacy protocols under HIPAA and VA regulations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum 2 years federal claims processing experience
- Proficiency in VBMS, VBA-Net, and Veterans Service Center systems
- Knowledge of 38 CFR, PL 106-419, and Veterans Appeals Improvement Act
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting medical and military records
- Ability to pass VA background investigation and credit check
