Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with federal healthcare regulations (HIPAA, VA directives)
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments across clinical and administrative departments
- Develop/implement compliance training programs for 200+ staff members
- Collaborate with legal teams to resolve regulatory violations and policy gaps
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior leadership and federal oversight bodies
- Lead cross-functional committees to standardize compliance procedures
- Stay current on evolving federal healthcare regulations through continuous education
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years experience in federal compliance or healthcare regulation
- VA Federal Service preferred or equivalent federal agency experience
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CMS regulations, and VA policies
- Proven ability to conduct complex audits and risk assessments
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for policy documentation
- Professional certification (e.g., CCEP-HCP, CHC) preferred
- Must pass federal background investigation and obtain security clearance
