Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to federal regulations (VA, HIPAA, OMB) across medical operations
- Conduct internal audits and compliance risk assessments
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for compliance gaps
- Coordinate with legal and regulatory agencies on policy updates
- Train staff on compliance protocols and ethical standards
- Maintain documentation for audit trails and regulatory reporting
- Collaborate with department heads to embed compliance frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of compliance/regulatory experience in federal or healthcare settings
- Knowledge of VA regulations, 38 CFR, and HIPAA requirements
- Strong analytical skills with experience in audit methodologies
- Excellent written/verbal communication for policy development
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a regulated environment
- Preferred: VA certification or federal contracting experience
