Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audits of healthcare operations to ensure compliance with federal regulations (HIPAA, VA policies)
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for staff across 15+ departments
- Investigate and resolve compliance violations with corrective action plans
- Collaborate with legal counsel to update agency policies in alignment with new federal mandates
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior leadership and regulatory bodies
- Monitor industry changes to proactively address emerging compliance risks
- Lead cross-functional teams for special compliance initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in federal compliance or healthcare regulation
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Proficiency in compliance management software (e.g., Compliance.ai, Vanta)
- Expert knowledge of HIPAA, VA directives, and federal procurement regulations
- Strong analytical skills with data interpretation experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a VA security clearance
- Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) preferred
