Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audits of veteran benefit programs to ensure 100% compliance with federal regulations (VA Handbook 6500)
- Investigate and resolve complex compliance discrepancies within 72-hour SLA
- Develop standardized compliance protocols using federal guidelines (CFR Title 38)
- Coordinate with OIG and GSA for regulatory updates and implementation
- Train staff on HIPAA, FERPA, and federal procurement standards
- Generate monthly compliance dashboards for VA leadership review
- Lead cross-functional task force for process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years federal compliance/regulatory experience
- Active Secret Security clearance (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Expertise in VA regulations, FAR, and DFARS
- Advanced proficiency in federal audit software (e.g., FedTrack, SAM.gov)
- Professional certification (CFCM, CCEP, or CPFC preferred)
- Exceptional analytical writing for official federal reports
- U.S. citizenship required
