Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to federal regulations and VA policies across all departmental operations
- Conduct comprehensive compliance audits and risk assessments for medical facilities
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for identified compliance gaps
- Collaborate with legal and medical teams to maintain regulatory standards
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior leadership and federal oversight bodies
- Train staff on updated federal healthcare regulations and VA protocols
- Monitor emerging legislation and policy changes affecting healthcare compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Law, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in healthcare compliance or federal regulatory affairs
- Knowledge of HIPAA, VA policies, and federal healthcare regulations
- Strong analytical skills with experience in audit methodologies
- Ability to interpret complex federal statutes and implement practical solutions
- Proficiency in compliance management software and data analysis tools
- Active security clearance eligibility or ability to obtain one
