Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of federal contracts, from initial submission to final closeout, ensuring strict adherence to agency regulations and compliance standards.
- Review and process documentation for accuracy, including budgets, scope of work, and deliverables, minimizing errors and reducing audit risks.
- Communicate effectively with federal stakeholders, internal teams, and subcontractors to resolve discrepancies and ensure project milestones are met.
- Maintain and organize confidential contract files and digital records in compliance with federal security protocols (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for government supervisors, highlighting key achievements and addressing potential bottlenecks.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new federal contract opportunities.
- Monitor contract performance against KPIs and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in contract administration, logistics, or government procurement support.
- Familiarity with federal regulations, FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation), and government contracting processes is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in complex documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with government officials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and contract management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary security clearances.
