Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce security protocols during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and surveillance of facility grounds
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and medical incidents with prompt intervention
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Operate security systems including CCTV, alarms, and access control
- Conduct inmate counts and searches to prevent contraband
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during joint operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- Minimum 21 years of age and pass background investigation
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
- Successful completion of 200-hour Correctional Officer Training
- Physical fitness to restrain inmates and respond to emergencies
- Ability to work rotating night shifts with irregular hours
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Experience in law enforcement or corrections preferred
