Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise inmates in a federal correctional facility ensuring security protocols
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and surveillance of institutional premises
- Implement emergency response procedures including riot control and crisis intervention
- Maintain accurate incident reports and inmate documentation
- Coordinate with federal agencies for inmate transfers and legal proceedings
- Operate correctional equipment including electronic monitoring systems
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- Minimum 21 years of age with high school diploma or GED
- Pass federal background investigation and medical examination
- Completion of Federal Bureau of Prisons training academy
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification
- Basic computer proficiency and record-keeping skills
