Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with empathy and accuracy
- Operate multi-channel radio systems to coordinate field units
- Input and maintain critical data in Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- Provide clear, concise information to officers during emergency situations
- Adhere to strict protocols for confidentiality and crisis intervention
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain certification standards
- Collaborate with cross-agency partners (Fire, EMS, Hospitals)
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM)
- Clear verbal communication with neutral dialect
- Basic computer proficiency and technical aptitude
- Ability to pass extensive background check and polygraph
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history
