Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police units, fire, and EMS resources via radio and digital channels
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Operate specialized communication equipment including consoles and mapping tools
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during critical incidents
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers in emergency situations
- Participate in continuous training on evolving protocols and technologies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- US citizenship or legal authorization to work
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass background investigation and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional communication skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- No felony convictions
