Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze cybersecurity threats to federal networks using advanced SIEM tools
- Incident response coordination for security breaches across government systems
- Develop and implement robust security protocols for cloud-based infrastructure
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Prepare detailed security reports for senior leadership
- Train federal employees on cybersecurity best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in federal or regulated environments
- Active CISSP or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in NIST frameworks and FISMA compliance standards
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network security tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
