Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network security systems for vulnerabilities and intrusions
- Implement advanced threat detection protocols and incident response procedures
- Conduct risk assessments for federal IT infrastructure and compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on cybersecurity initiatives and threat intelligence sharing
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident reports and mitigation strategies
- Lead penetration testing and vulnerability scans for classified and unclassified systems
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity with federal/government experience
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and federal compliance standards (FISMA, FedRAMP)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to document complex technical findings
