Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats against federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Implement NIST cybersecurity frameworks and FedRAMP compliance protocols
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams during incident response operations
- Develop threat intelligence reports for senior leadership
- Train federal employees on cybersecurity best practices
- Manage security tools including SIEM platforms and IDS/IPS systems
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years experience in enterprise security operations
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with Splunk, Palo Alto Networks, or CrowdStrike
- Familiarity with CMMC, FISMA, and DFARS standards
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts for incident response
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
