Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze cybersecurity threats against federal systems using SIEM tools
- Conduct incident response coordination for Sacramento-region federal agencies
- Develop vulnerability assessment reports and mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with FBI, CISA, and state fusion centers on threat intelligence
- Implement NIST SP 800-53 security controls and FedRAMP compliance
- Lead tabletop exercises for regional cybersecurity preparedness
- Maintain CMMC compliance documentation for defense contractors
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (SCI preferred)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with federal compliance experience
- CISSP or CEH certification required
- Expertise in Splunk, CrowdStrike, or similar security platforms
- Knowledge of FISMA, NIST, and CMMC frameworks
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
- Experience with incident response protocols (IRAM)
- Ability to obtain DHS Suitability clearance
