Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats against federal systems in California
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop and implement incident response protocols for cyber incidents
- Collaborate with federal agencies to enhance statewide cybersecurity posture
- Analyze intelligence reports to identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities
- Prepare comprehensive security documentation and compliance reports

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of cybersecurity experience with federal systems
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, ArcSight) and threat detection tools
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and federal compliance standards
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
