Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats across federal networks using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure systems
- Develop and implement security protocols compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Collaborate with federal agencies to share threat intelligence and coordinate incident responses
- Prepare detailed cybersecurity reports for senior leadership and congressional stakeholders
- Maintain security certifications and stay current with emerging cyber threats
- Train federal employees on cybersecurity best practices and policy compliance
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years experience in cybersecurity threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Knowledge of federal IT security frameworks (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP)
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS suitability determination
