Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust network security protocols to protect classified government systems
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on DoD infrastructure
- Monitor 24/7 security operations center alerts and respond to cyber incidents within SLAs
- Develop incident response plans and lead crisis management during security breaches
- Ensure compliance with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) requirements
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to enhance national cybersecurity posture
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of security frameworks
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (minimum) with eligibility for Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in federal or enterprise cybersecurity operations
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA Security+)
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight) and intrusion detection systems
- Proficiency in NIST cybersecurity frameworks and risk assessment methodologies
- Strong analytical skills with ability to document complex security procedures
