Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats across federal systems using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Develop and implement incident response protocols for cyberattacks
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to enhance national cybersecurity posture
- Generate detailed threat intelligence reports and brief senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA security standards
- Maintain security documentation and training programs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in federal or regulated environments
- Proficiency in threat detection tools (Splunk, CrowdStrike, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols and encryption standards
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Demonstrated experience with incident response and forensic analysis
