Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze federal network traffic 24/7 during night shifts to identify potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans on remote infrastructure to ensure compliance.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents in real-time, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Document security logs, generate compliance reports, and maintain accurate records for federal oversight.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to ensure seamless handover of security operations and continuity.
- Stay updated on the latest federal cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA) and implement necessary changes.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and network monitoring protocols.
- Must be available for a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 7:00 PM – 4:00 AM).
- Strong understanding of federal compliance standards and data privacy regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
