SecureOps Federal Solutions is seeking a disciplined and experienced Federal Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite night shift team. This is a critical role dedicated to safeguarding federal infrastructure, offering the stability of a government pension plan and the flexibility of a remote-first work culture.
Based in the San Francisco, CA area, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our client's data networks. We are looking for self-starters who thrive in a low-traffic, high-focus environment.
Responsibilities
- Continuous Monitoring: Oversee federal network traffic and systems during night hours to detect potential intrusions, malware, and cyber threats.
- Incident Response: Execute rapid response protocols to contain and neutralize security breaches identified during the night shift.
- Threat Analysis: Analyze logs and security alerts to identify vulnerabilities and recommend preventative measures.
- Compliance Reporting: Ensure all night operations align with FISMA, NIST, and agency-specific security policies.
- System Hardening: Assist in configuring and maintaining firewalls and intrusion detection systems for enhanced security.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed logs of security activities and incident reports for audit trails.
Qualifications
- Clearance: Must hold an active Top Secret (TS) clearance or higher.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal information systems security or network defense.
- Shift Requirements: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) and network security protocols.
- Problem Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot complex security issues with minimal supervision.
