Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network security threats using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Develop incident response plans and lead cybersecurity breach mitigation
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA security frameworks
- Document security protocols and prepare executive briefings
- Mentor junior analysts and implement security awareness programs
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in network security operations
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Proficiency in Splunk, Wireshark, and vulnerability scanning tools
- Demonstrated experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Strong analytical skills and incident response expertise
- Ability to obtain DHS suitability clearance
