Responsibilities
- Conduct Vulnerability Assessments: Perform regular security scans and penetration tests to identify potential weaknesses in federal systems.
- Manage Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal cybersecurity frameworks (FISMA, NIST) and internal security policies.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of cybersecurity incidents and security breaches.
- Access Control: Manage user access rights and permissions to ensure data privacy and security.
- Security Training: Conduct security awareness training for federal staff and stakeholders.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of security configurations, incidents, and audit reports.
Qualifications
- Clearance: Must possess an active Top Secret clearance (or be eligible to obtain one).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certification: CISSP or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal cybersecurity or IT security roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM tools (Splunk), and Windows/Linux administration.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for briefing stakeholders.
