Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vulnerability assessments and risk management analysis on federal networks.
- Monitor network traffic and security systems to detect and mitigate cyber threats in real-time.
- Implement and maintain security controls aligned with NIST SP 800-53 and FedRAMP requirements.
- Lead incident response investigations and coordinate with federal agencies during security breaches.
- Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DOD) policies.
- Develop and update cybersecurity policies and training materials for federal staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (required).
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CEH preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in federal IT environments.
- Proficiency in using SIEM tools and network security appliances.
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
